Sierra Sports Physical Therapy and Performance prides itself on delivering high-level, individualized care for active individuals in Reno and the greater Reno-Tahoe area. We're excited to introduce Brenden Nutt, PT, DPT, a Doctor of Physical Therapy whose passion for sports physical therapy, manual therapy, and dry needling aligns perfectly with our mission to help patients move better, perform stronger, and recover faster.
Brenden earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He has deep roots in the Reno community, having moved here in 2016 to attend the University of Nevada, Reno, where he completed his bachelor's degree in Community Health Science with a specialization in Kinesiology.
After completing his doctorate in Utah, Brenden returned to Reno with a clear goal: to serve the local community with evidence-based, patient-focused physical therapy.
As a sports physical therapist, Brenden brings a strong background in powerlifting and athletic training, giving him firsthand insight into the demands of sport-specific performance and injury prevention.
Whether you're a competitive athlete, a dedicated gym-goer, or someone looking to stay active without pain, Brenden's approach emphasizes restoring strength, confidence, and movement efficiency. His experience allows him to tailor treatment plans that translate directly to real-world activities and high-level performance.
Brenden is dry needling certified, an advanced technique he uses to reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, and accelerate recovery.
Combined with skilled manual therapy, dry needling allows Brenden to address pain and movement restrictions at their source, making it an excellent option for:
Sports injuries
Chronic pain
Overuse conditions
Every session is customized to the individual, ensuring patients receive care that is specific to their goals and lifestyle.
At the core of Brenden's practice is a strong belief in the provider-patient relationship. He prioritizes trust, clear communication, and a comfortable, stress-free environment.
Brenden takes the time to listen, educate, and collaborate with his patients so they feel confident and supported throughout their physical therapy journey.
Outside the clinic, Brenden enjoys staying active in the gym, fly fishing, golfing, and taking advantage of everything the Reno-Tahoe area has to offer.
Brenden is currently seeing patients at Sierra Sports Physical Therapy and Performance inside Evoke Fitness and Rancharrah, providing convenient access to expert, cash-pay physical therapy.
If you're looking for sports physical therapy, manual therapy, or dry needling in Reno, Brenden Nutt, PT, DPT, is ready to help you move and perform at your best.
